Peter John Hayes (born Melbourne) is the Executive Director of the Nautilus Institute for Security and Sustainable Development. [1]

He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a degree in History, and from University of California, Berkeley with a Ph.D. in energy and resources.[2] He is Professor of International Relations, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.[3]

Nautilus’ Pegasus Program gives at-risk youth activities about sailing, oceanography, and teamwork on the 45-foot Pegasus research vessel.[4] They run an information service in Pyongyang.[5][6]
