George Frank Miles (1852-1891) was a well-known painter in London. He would use streetwalkers as models for his paintings.
The artist had supposedly died before the Whitechapel Murders (see Jack the Ripper), but it was subsequently discovered that he died afterward, in an asylum in 1891.
