Micah True (c. 1954 – March 2012) was an American ultrarunner from Boulder, Colorado, who gained fame as a central character in Christopher McDougall's best-selling book Born to Run.[1] The book chronicles his time in Mexico's Copper Canyon with the Tarahumara Indians, who taught him a new and better way to run.[2][3]
As reported by Laura Zuckerman of Reuters News Service: "In January, True wrote on his Facebook page: If I were to be remembered for anything at all, I would want that to be that I am/was authentic. No Mas. Run Free!"[4]
