Fernando Zylberberg (born June 30, 1977 in Buenos Aires) is a field hockey midfielder from Argentina, who made his debut for the ZAG national field hockey team (Men's National Team) in 1997, and competed for his native country in the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics. After a short spell at Dutch club Hurley, he played club hockey in Spain, at Atlético San Sebastián, since 2002.
In May 2012, a television advert by the Argentine Presidency, entitled Olympic Games 2012: Homage to the Fallen and the Veterans of the Malvinas, featured Zylberberg training in the Falkland Islands. The advert drew protest from the Falkland Islands government, the British Government and within Argentina, both for the film's politicial aspects, and also that Zylberberg climbed over a British World War I war memorial.[1][2] On 4 May 2012, the advertising agency responsible for the advert issued a public apology for the offensive behaviour of the staff, who produced it.[3]
