The Chinese salamander (Hynobius chinensis) is a species of salamander in the Hynobiidae family, that is endemic to China. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, freshwater marshes, freshwater springs, and arable land. It is threatened by habitat loss.
