Canobie Lake is a small lake located near Salem, New Hampshire in the United States.

The area's main attraction is Canobie Lake Park, a small family style amusement park. Canobie Lake Park opened on August 23, 1902 as a trolley park for the Massachusetts Northeast Street Railway Company. The amusement park has opened every summer since then. In the park's early years, it was famous for its flower gardens, promenades and gentle attractions. Today, this state-of-the-art amusement park features over 50 rides including roller coasters, the Log Flume water ride, the Timber Splash water coaster, a hand-painted antique carousel, authentic steam train, giant skywheel, the Starblaster, DaVinci's Dream Flying Swing ride, over a dozen kiddie rides, a tantalizing variety of foods, fabulous prizes and merchandise to win, live entertainment, fireworks, and much more!

The "Yankee Cannonball", a 1930s era wooden roller coaster, is one of the park's best known rides. The park also has a steel looping roller coaster named "Canobie Corkscrew" and a kiddie coaster named "Dragon".

Each year, Canobie tries to add something new to their beloved park. 2002 was the park's 100th season. In 2002 the park opened an S&S Power freefall named "Star Blaster". In 2003 the park opened "DaVinci's Dream", a Chair-O-Planes ride which is designed and painted beautifully. The "Rockin' Rider," a galaxi roller coaster, was removed from the park and in 2004. In 2005, the park officially opened "Wipeout", with a tropical surf theme, (actually opened for the last three days of the 2004 season) to occupy the space of the removed "Kosmo Jets." In 2005, the park opened a new water park called "Castaway Island." The park also added a ride called "Skater." "Skater" took up some of the removed Rockin' Rider site, but will be moved to the current location of the "Paratroopers" ride (which will be sold and removed from the park.) For 2006, a Huss Frisbee type ride is planned to be placed where the moved Skater once was. The ride is scheduled to be opened in late July or early August.
