The Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad (AAR reporting mark KO) is one of the Watco Companies that took over operations of the Class III Railroad company Central Kansas Railway on June 29, 2001 (CKRY). The K & O started opperations of the railroad line at 12:01 A.M. on June 30th 2001. The property was purchased from OmniTrax Corporation that has been operated as their Central Kansas Railway. Kansas & Oklahome also assumed operations of CKRYs sister Railroad Kansas Southwestern Railroad on the same date.
