HMS Grove (L77) was a Hunt-class destroyer of the Royal Navy.
The ship was struck by two torpedoes launched by the German submarine U-77 at 05.37 hours on 12 June 1942 and sunk with the loss of 110 crew.[1] 79 crew were rescued by HMS Tetcott.[2] At the time she was on return passage from Tobruk to Alexandria having been part of a resupply convoy to the Tobruk garrison. The ship had grounded at Tobruk and damaged the port screw shaft and screw, and speed was reduced to 8.5 knots.[2]
