Nick Weglarz

Nick Weglarz (born on December 16, 1987) is currently a Minor League Baseball player in the Cleveland Indians organization. He attended Lakeshore Catholic Secondary School in Port Colborne, Ontario. Nick was selected in the 2005 June Major League Baseball Draft in the 3rd round (94th overall pick) as a first basemen by the Indians, and signed by Indians scout Les Pajari. Nick has seen more time in the outfield for the Indians' affiliate the Burlington Indians. In 41 games for the Burlington Indians in the Appalachian League, Weglarz hit .231/.313/.347, contributing 11 doubles and two home runs. He drew 17 walks, but was struck out 42 times in 147 at-bats. In the middle of the 2008 season, Weglarz changed his at bat song to Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio.
