Io, Isabella International Film Week is the first film festival in the south of Italy devoted to Women and Documentary. It spotlights the work by and about women, particularly in the Documentary genre.

The Festival takes its name from Isabella Morra, a Renaissance poetess in 16th century Italy. Isabella was killed by her brothers, who found her guilty of having an independent nature, an "inappropriate" professional ambition, and a rumoured relationship with a married Spanish aristocrat.

The first edition of the Festival was held in Isabella's home, the Castle of Valsinni, from 25 August to 31 August 2005. Next edition will take place in Maratea from 24 July to 29 July 2007

The programme features about 70 films and is divided into two main sections: a competition exclusively devoted to films by and about women, and a section devoted to documentaries. There are also satellite programmes, including a "Country in Focus", talk shows, and various events.
