Westcountry Live is the flagship regional news programme for ITV Westcountry. It broadcasts weeknights at 6pm.

The programme has been broadcasting since January 4 1993, when Westcountry took over from TSW. Like most ITV local news programmes, it uses the generic ITV logo and font.

In June 2006, former CBBC and GMTV presenter Simon Parkin joined Westcountry Live as its temporary main weather presenter whilst Kate Reeves was on maternity leave. Simon has since left to join Thames Valley Tonight, following Kate's return to the programme.

On Air

Westcountry News airs on ITV1 Westcountry seven days a week. ITV Westcountry provides three news bulletins during GMTV. The mid-morning bulletin airs immediately after an ITV News Summary, during This Morning, this update airs for around 10 minutes. The lunchtime edition of the programme follows on from the ITV Lunchtime News, giving a five minute round-up of the days developments between 1.55pm and 2.00pm. The main evening edition of Westcountry Live begins at 6.00pm, and ends at 6.30pm. The late news update from the region follows the ITV News at 10.30, airing between 10.55pm and 11.00pm.

Westcountry News airs four bulletins at weekends: two on Saturday, at lunchtime, and late afternoon, and two on Sunday: at lunchtime and the evening edition at 6.25pm.
