When it is discovered that the same number of people watch iCarly every week, Carly decides to have a contest to get more viewers. The teams are her and Sam vs. Freddie and Spencer. The punishment for loser is that they have to touch the doorman Lewbert's wart (which is unusually large).

When Mrs. Briggs brings in a Scottish dancer to class, Carly and Sam do a broadcast asking the audiences for dance videos. But, strange dreams occur when the crew falls asleep viewing 500 videos a night. All of them have crazy dance-related dreams.

Carly's excited to hear Jake, her crush/friend, has agreed to sing a song on the webcast. But she soon realizes Jake is a terrible singer, so Carly asks Freddie to digitally enhance his performance, and he reluctantly agrees.

Carly's grandfather visits her, and because of Spencer's unusual behavior, he concludes that Spencer is too irresponsible to look after Carly. He wants Carly to separate from Spencer and move to Yakima, for her own safety. Will she convince her grandfather that Spencer is able to take care of her?

Carly wants a popular webshow critic to view and rate her webcast. Unfortunately, the critic that wants to rate the webshow is an 11 year old boy who is dangerously attracted to her and pays no attention about rating iCarly. What will she do?

Carly, Sam, and Freddie do their Halloween web cast from an apartment that is rumored to be haunted. When creepy things start happening, the friends worry that the ghost rumors just might be true. Carly’s strangely secretive neighbor, Mrs. Halberstadt, adds to their anxiety. Can Carly, Sam, and Freddie survive the haunted apartment 13-B until the webshow ends at midnight? Meanwhile, when Spencer forgets to buy candy, he gets a group of angry trick-or-treaters on his hands.

The next webcast that Carly and friends do are bout what thei teachers do outside of school. But Ms. Briggs finds out and give all three of them detentin for the rest of eighth grade. But Sam thinks she knows a way out of it. Meanwhile, Spencer and his buddy, Klos, fight over a girl they both like.
