Willie Paton

Willie Paton is a former Scottish footballer who played for both Rangers. He played as a striker. He should not be confussed with his namesake William Paton, wing-half who played for Motherwell around the same time.

Paton joined Rangers from junior side Kirkintilloch Rob Roy 1947. During his spell at Ibrox he made 109 League appearances and scored 38 goals. He was part of the 1948-49 season Rangers treble. He amassed, three League championships, one Scottish Cup, one Scottish League Cup.

He left Rangers to join Ayr United in 1957.
