New Episode - Worldwide Day of Play

A new commercial is appearing for the Worldwide Day of Play (September 29) that will feature several new episodes of different shows, including a new episode of SpongeBob. This is Stupid!!

I am Completely fed up of waiting for the episode articles to be improved. Bring them back they don't need improving! This is stupid. The episode articles have been gone for 4 Months! Bring them back now. (Woggy 13:10, 30 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Instead of complaining about it, why don't you go help? There's people that are working on it, and you can help by clicking the link under "help improve the episode articles". Keep in mind that almost every article violated the following policies/guidelines:
  • WP:TRIVIA - no trivia sections in articles
  • WP:CITE - no references in trivia sections
  • WP:EL and WP:LINKFARM - no links to fansites, Youtube, etc. unless they are needed.
  • WP:PLOT - overly detailed plot sumamries

Pictures

Can't there be any sort of pictures in this article, that would improve it very well, that's what i think, pictures often improve articles in postive or negatvie ways, in this case, it would improve it in the positive way, pictures also do the article more intersting. --Rutherfordjigsaw 13:17, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Atlantis SquarePantis Commercials

New commercials are beginning to air on Nickelodeon for AS. First, they say it's a TV movie. Second, there will be a marathon of episodes voted by the public online at Nick.com. Should we be paring down this article as much as we are?

It would be fine if there were individual episode articles, but as there are not, we need summaries of at least a few sentences long. For example, is the article really worth having if all the summaries are as long as "SpongeBob ties his shoes" or "SpongeBob and Patrick get split up by Squidward"? I'm assuming good faith here too, but there's a point at which you just have to revert their edits becuase they are lowering the quality of the article. Well, there's not really much to do round here. You could try going through the summaries and copy-editing them - they do get bad after a long while. Yeah, I've done the main episode summaries (season 1-5) twice I think, but the shorts at the bottom still need cleanup. And if someone vandalises a page, go into the history (click history at the top of the page) and click "undo" and then "save". You can then leave a warning on their talkpage (by clicking "talk" next to their name) by using one of the templates at WP:WARN. I would recommend leaving a warning becuase it allows you and others to report repeat vandals to Administrator intervention against vandalism. Split?

Okay, this article is getting pretty long. If I go into Print Preview, the article is 22 pages long (letter size), well over the recommended limit of 10 pages. I was thinking along the lines of splitting into articles by season (List of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes, season 1, etc.) and removing the Shorts section (as that doesn't really belong here), or splitting into groups (season 1-2, season 3-4, season 5-6, etc). Episode Pages

Last year, I think it was last year, I found articles for the episodes like for the Family Guy and The Simpsons episode articles, describing the plot and giving trivia and notes for each episode, and now it has been deleted. I would like to put those articles back up. I will start but I will need help from all of you other users. WikiProject SpongeBob SquarePants has specifically asked that episode articles not be created. This is due to the fact that most of the episodes do not pass the notability guidelines for fiction. The articles were also in very bad shape because IP's continually added useless trivia and links to watch the episodes on YouTube. I would not recommend creating them at this time.
