Joanne Linville (born January 15, 1928 in Bakersfield, California) is an American film and television actress whose screen credits include The Goddess, Gable and Lombard, and A Star Is Born.

Linville's many television credits include appearances in The Twilight Zone, Dr. Kildare, Ben Casey, Kojak, I Spy, Bonanza, Felony Squad, Gunsmoke, L.A. Law, and Charlie's Angels. She portrayed Hedda Hopper in the television movie James Dean and the Female Romulan Commander in the classic Star Trek episode "The Enterprise Incident".

Linville is married to actor/director Mark Rydell and is the mother of actress Amy Rydell and actor Christopher Rydell.
