Comendador Gomes is a city in the western part of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It has approximately 2,779 inhabitants and the area is 1,045.9 km². The elevation is 557 m. The municipality was founded in 1948, prior, it was a part of the municipality of Frutal. Much of the area are uninhabited and are also hilly, mountainous and forested and also does not have much countryside roads as well. The GDP is between the low and middle class. Comemdador Gomes are bounded with Frutal and Itapagipe.
