Joe Cocker was the name of the album released by Joe Cocker in 1972. It was issued in the U.S. on A&M Records.

Although A&M (as of 2008) has never made the album available on CD in the U.S., it licensed the recording to UK-imprint Cube Records, which issued the album on CD (with a different cover and titled "Something to Say") in Europe; that CD is currently out of print.

The album's main claim to fame might be the fact that one of its tracks, "Woman to Woman", was the basis for Tupac Shakur's successful hit single California Love.

Track Listing:

Side One

  1. "Pardon Me Sir" (Cocker-Stainton) 3:37
  2. "High Time We Went" (Cocker-Stainton) 4:25
  3. "She Don't Mind" (Cocker-Stainton) 3:13
  4. "Black-Eyed Blues" (Cocker-Stainton) 4:37
  5. "Something to Say" (Cocker-Stainton) 5:00

Side Two

  1. "Midnight Rider" (Greg Allman) 4:00
  2. "Do Right Woman" (live) (Penn-Moman) 7:00
  3. "Woman to Woman" (Cocker-Stainton) 4:26
  4. "St. James Infirmary" (live) (Frey Assunto) 6:10

Upon the album's release, the tracks that garnered the most attention at radio were "Black-Eyed Blues", "Woman to Woman", and the cover of Greg Allman's "Midnight Rider", which charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 27.

Later, in 1996, the horn riff from "Woman to Woman" was sampled by Tupac Shakur in his song "California Love"; it was a smash hit for Tupac, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
