Jamie Renee Smith was born on April 10, 1987. She began her acting career at the age of 6 when (at her first audition) she landed a guest-starring role on an episode of Saved By The Bell: The College Years. Since then Jamie has starred or guest-starred in many motion pictures, television shows and TV movies. She has even had a role in a stage play version of Peter Pan as a Lost Boy.

She is a three-time Young Artist Award winner for her roles in the big screen movie Dante's Peak (1997) with Pierce Brosnan, the ABC TV movie My Last Love (1999), and her guest appearance on NBC's E.R. (2001). For Dante's Peak she received Best Actress in a Feature - Age 10 & Under, for My Last Love she won Best Performance in a TV Movie or Pilot - Leading Young Actress and for E.R. she got Best Performance in a TV Drama Series - Guest Starring Young Actress.

Jamie enjoys both comedy and drama but loves playing characters with different accents. She can speak with an English, New York and Southern accent. Her favorite role so far is in "My Last Love", she thought it was her most challenging role and told me[who?] in a letter that she put a lot of work into it.

Jamie graduated from high school in 2005. Her most recent acting work was during the 2003-4 season when she guest starred on the WB sitcom "Grounded for Life" and on FOX's Malcolm in the Middle.

Besides acting Jamie enjoys gymnastics, rollerblading, rollerskating, snow skiing, ice skating, dancing and singing.

She is the youngest of five kids and loves being home with her family. She wants to continue acting, but also hopes to write screenplays and direct.
