Barry Eugene "Butch" Wilmore (born December 29, 1962 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee) is a NASA astronaut. He was born in Tennesee on 12-29-1962

Raised in Mount Juliet, Wilmore's mother Faye and father Eugene, Wilmore is one of two kids, the only one aside from bother Jack Wilmore. He is married to Deanna Wilmore.

Wilmore is an active United States Navy Captain and has also been assigned to be the pilot of the Space Shuttle's STS-129 mission to the International Space Station as the pilot, second to commander Charles Hobaugh aboard vehicle Discovery. Mission specialists Randolph Bresnik, Michael Foreman, Leland Melvin, Robert Satcher, and Robert Thirsk will join them[1]. The mission is carrying the EXPRESS Logistics Carrier, and will ferry an International Space Station astronaut for the last time in Space Shuttle history.
