Mega Man is a DOS computer game made as part of the Mega Man series of video games. Licensed by Capcom, the DOS game was instead created by Hi-Tech Expressions and released in 1990. It was only released in the United States. Fans of the series, however, have been highly critical of the DOS games, both for having sub-standard graphics and rather poor gameplay control. The DOS games are also unplayable on post-386 computers due to them running too fast. However with emulation software, namely DosBox, it is possible to control the framerate and thus render the game playable. There's a sequel named Mega Man III; there is no "Mega Man II" to fill the gap. Both this game and the North American version of Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge for the Game Boy share the same box art; instead of being an all new drawing, the artwork is a simple touchup of Mega Man 3's boxart. However, the surrounding landscape and robot masters have been cropped out of the picture.

Story

The only story that exists is that Dr. Wily has returned with a new supercomputer he invented called "Crorq". Using Crorq, Wily has taken control over most of the robots in the world. Once again, it's up to Mega Man to defeat Wily's new Robot Masters and the mad doctor himself.

Robot Masters

There are only three Robot Masters in this game, unlike other Mega Man games that generally have eight.

Robot Master Weapon
Dyna Man Nuclear Detonator
Sonic Man Sonic Wave
Volt Man Force Field

In Wily's fortress, the player fights the Robot Masters again in predetermined intervals, similar to the first NES game. After defeating them, the player faces another two bosses.
