Michayela Joleesse Mitchell (born 26 December 1993) is a fictional character in BBC Soap Opera, EastEnders. She is portrayed by Katie Griffiths, 15.
Personal Life
Michayela was born on 26 December 1993 to Glenda Mitchell and Bradford Meade - both deceased as of 1994 and 2008 respectively, due to a carcrash. Since September 1994, Michayela's older sisters, Ronnie, now 33, and Roxy Mitchell, now 29, have been her legal guardians. On July 23 2007, at the age of 13, Michayela arrived in Walford with her older sisters, for her cousin, Phil's wedding to Stella Crawford. Michayela fell pregnant at 13 in October 2007. Since her arrival in July 2007, Michayela has been known for her heavy black mascara and black liquid eyeliner.
Arrival
Phil Mitchell was due to marry fiancee, Stella Crawford on 23 July 2007. At the wedding, it was revealed that Stella had been abusing Ben. Stella committed suicide, jumping from a roof, and Phil went back to the Vic, admitting to Police he had killed Stella, when in fact, she had jumped. Police later let him go. At the what would-be Reception for the Wedding, sisters, Ronnie, 33, Roxy, 29, and Michayela, 13, arrived in a black cab. Ronnie seemed to worry a lot about Michayela, who seemed to be just like her sisters, blonde hair, blue eyes, fake tan and a good-fashion sense just like Roxy. At the party, Michayela became the girlfriend of Darren Miller, 16.
2007-
On 1 August 2007, Michayela fell out with cousin, Ben Mitchell, 11, who had been the object of Stella's twisted abuse. That night, Michayela sneaked out, but Ben saw her and threatened to tell. Michayela threw him up against a wall, smashing his glasses. He started crying and Michayela punched him in the nose. He started screaming as Michayela made a quick exit out of the Vic with 2 bottles of Vodka in her hand. She met up with Darren Miller, 16, Lauren Branning, 13, Lucy Beale, 13, and Abi Branning, 11, in the playground. Around 2-minutes later, Roxy screamed, "MICHAYELA!" and went on the warpath after her 13-year old sister. She found her getting drunk in the playground and dragged her back to the Vic, slapping her round the face. She grounded Michayela for a month. In October 2007, after sleeping with boyfriend, Darren Miller, 16, Michayela fell pregnant. Roxy was furious with her sister for falling pregnant so young, and grounded her for two months.
Abduction
In June 2008, in a cross-over with Ugly Betty, it was revealed that Michayela was the daughter of Bradford Meade and Glenda Mitchell, making her the next heir to the Mode Magazine. Around this time however, Wilhelmina Slater, was searching for an heir to help her take over the magazine, and after watching the Meade/Mitchell teenager carefully, decided to force the 14-year old into helping her destroy Daniel, Claire and Alexis. On 26 June 2008, all the Meade family were in London, working on the magazine. Since Michayela lived in Walford, London, Wilhelmina sent Marc, her personal assistant, to abduct Michayela, and bring her to America. When Michayela was on her own wandering around the Square - eight months pregnant, an expensive black car pulled up beside her, and somebody dragged her into the car.
Michayela was tied up and taken to Wilhelmina's huge apartment in America. This was when Michayela met Wilhelmina and found out about the plot. The 14-year old struggled against the ropes and told her that it would never work. Wilhelmina laughed and told her it would, or the 14-year old would have the worst life possible. She then made a live video connection with the Meades and the Mitchell Sisters who were now in America, after discovering Wilhelmina had taken Michayela. Wilhelmina then said, "Hello Daniel, Alexis, Roxanne, Veronica, Claire. Yes, I do have Michayela. She says she's not going to give me her share of the magazine. What am I going to do?" She held a kitchen knife to Michayela's throat, laughing, saying, "What if my hand just slipped?" She took the knife away, and held on to a shaking, scared Michayela, and said, "If your little brat of a sister doesn't hand me the magazine, you'll never see her again". The Mitchells and Meades rushed to Wilhelmina's apartment, but Wilhelmina and Michayela were gone, and were later shown at a secret location. As of June 2008, Michayela remains in Wilhelmina's care, with the Mitchells and Meades still looking for her. The 14-year old gave birth while abducted, to a baby girl named Shanice Miller.
