Carlos Guastavino (April 5, 1912 - October 28, 2000) was an Argentine composer.

Guastavino was born in Santa Fe Province, Argentina. He music was greatly influenced by Argentine folk music. Many of his pieces are songs or other short works, though he also wrote orchestral music and a number of ballet scores.

"Se equivocó la paloma", a short song, is perhaps his most famous work.

Great performers as Teresa Berganza, Martha Argerich, Jorge Chaminé, José Carreras include his works on their recitals.
