Lad culture is a subculture commonly associated with Britpop music of the 1990s. It is especially synomonous with the rock group, Oasis and the TV sitcom, Men Behaving Badly. It also involves a liking for alcoholic beverages (especially lager), fast automobiles and men's magazines such as Loaded and FHM.

The term ladette refers to a female incarnation of the lad stereotype who engages in activities that are traditionally associated with boisterous males, such as rowdy football fandom, or lager drinking.

A combination of music, women, technology, drinking, smoking and rock 'n' roll define UK lads' culture. Or under a better guise: Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll.
