Stanisław Komornicki (26 July 1924 – 10 April 2010) was Brigadier General of the Polish Army and the Chancellor of the Order Virtuti Militari. He was born in Warsaw. Polish underground activist (pseudonym: Nałęcz), member of underground Scouting (Szare Szeregi), Soldier of Armia Krajowa, participant of the Warsaw Uprising. Officer of Polish First Army, participant of the Battle of Kolberg. Writer and historian.
He was listed on the flight manifest[1] of the Tupolev Tu-154 of the 36th Special Aviation Regiment carrying the President of Poland Lech Kaczyński which crashed near Smolensk-North airport near Pechersk near Smolensk, Russia, on 10 April 2010, killing all aboard.
