Joseph F. Periconi was a former New York State Senator from the Bronx and Bronx Borough President. Periconi was the last Republican elected Bronx Borough President.[1]

Periconi, who was also endorsed by the New York State Liberal Party, was elected Bronx Borough President in 1961. He was narrowly defeated in 1965 by Herman Badillo, who was then a Democrat.

In 1970, Periconi was an unsuccessful candidate for Congress.

Periconi died on February 16, 1994 in the Bronx.
