Robert Abrams

Robert Abrams (born July 4, 1938 in New York City ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party .

life and career

Abrams studied law at Columbia College in New York City. From 1966 to 1969 he was a member of the New York State Assembly ; then he served from 1970 to 1979 in the successor of Herman Badillo as Borough President of the Bronx .

From 1979 to 1993 served as Abrams Attorney General of the State of New York . 1992 he lost the elections to the Senate of the United States against the Republican Al D'Amato . Abrams is a New York City attorney.
