Claudia Nemat , b. Lange, (born December 12, 1968 in Bensberg ) is a German manager . She is a board member for innovation and technology at Deutsche Telekom.

Life

Nemat is the daughter of a physicist. She studied physics at the University of Cologne .

From 1994 she worked for the management consultancy McKinsey , where she held various positions for a total of 17 years. Since 2006 she has been director of the technology sector for Europe , the Middle East and Africa . During this time, her focus was on information and telecommunications technology .

Nemat worked as a consultant for Deutsche Telekom for 18 years .

From 2013 to 2016 Nemat was a member of the supervisory board of Lanxess AG .

In July 2011, at the instigation of René Obermann , she was appointed by the Supervisory Board to the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom at the same time as Marion Schick , where she headed the European business from October 2011 to December 2016. In January 2017, she became responsible for the Technology and Innovation Board of Management at Deutsche Telekom. Nemat was one of the first two women on the Telekom Board of Management after the company had already set a voluntary quota of 30 percent women in management positions in March 2010 .

In 2016, Nemat became a member of the Board of Directors of Airbus SE.
