Hagen Hultzsch

Hagen Hultzsch (born November 26, 1940 in Birkenfeld (Nahe) ) is a German manager (member of the board of directors of Deutsche Telekom AG 1991-2001).

Life

Hultzsch studied physics and nuclear physics at the University of Mainz . He received his doctorate in 1970 and until 1977 taught information technology for physicists in Mainz as an assistant professor. In 1973 and 1974 he was a guest researcher on leave at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center , USA. After his return, Hultzsch was head of the computer center of the Society for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt from 1977 and director of the technical service group of EDS in Germany from 1985 . From 1988 to 1993 he was Head of Management Organization and Information Systems at Volkswagen AG (today CIO). From 1993 to 2001 he was a member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG , where he was responsible for the Technology Services division, responsible for research and development, information technology and quality management. He made a significant contribution to the formation of T-Systems and T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH and founded T-Venture, where he was chairman of the supervisory board until the end of 2001. Until the end of 2006 he was a member of the board of ICANN and continues to work there as former director.
