Guido Kerkhoff

Guido Kerkhoff (born November 22, 1967 , in Schüttorf ) is a German industrial manager . From 2011 to 2018, Kerkhoff was CFO of Thyssenkrupp . After Heinrich Hiesinger's resignation , Kerkhoff was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Thyssenkrupp on July 13, 2018 , and was dismissed from this position on September 25, 2019.

Professional background

After completing his studies, Kerkhoff worked from 1995 to 1996 in the area of ​​group accounting at the energy supplier Vereinigte Elektrizitätswerke Westfalen (VEW). From 1996 to 2002 he worked at Bertelsmann , most recently in the group accounting / controlling department, where he headed the department for projects and fundamental issues. In 2002, Kerkhoff moved to Deutsche Telekom , where he held various management positions in the finance department. From 2006 to 2011 he was responsible for group accounting and group controlling as the head of the central division. In 2009 he was promoted to the Board of Management of Telekom, where he was initially responsible for the regions of Southern and Eastern Europe and, from 2010, for the whole of Europe. Kerkhoff has been a member of the Executive Board and CFO of Thyssenkrupp since April 2011 . After Heinrich Hiesinger announced his resignation as CEO, the Supervisory Board unanimously elected Kerkhoff as the new CEO of Thyssenkrupp.

Kerkhoff is married, has two children and lives in Essen .
