Hamilton Ward Junior

Hamilton Ward junior ( 1871 - October 8, 1932 in Buffalo , New York ) was an American lawyer and politician ( Republican Party ). The Attorney General of New York Hamilton Ward Sr. was his father.

Career

Nothing is known about the early years of Hamilton Ward junior. At some point he studied law and was admitted to the bar. Ward practiced in Philipsville (now Belmont ). He fought in Cuba during the Spanish-American War . At that time he held the rank of captain . In 1907 he was Commander-in-Chief of the United Spanish War Veterans . In the 1928 election, he was elected Attorney General of New York - a post he held from 1929 to 1930. He died in 1932 of complications from pneumonia in Buffalo (New York) and was then taken to Forest Hill Cemetery buried in Belmont (New York).

His brother was the Episcopal Bishop John C. Ward .
