The Bamboesberg is a South African mountain range in the Eastern Cape, and was named for the bamboo Arundinaria tesselata growing in mountain ravines. It is a westward extension of the Stormberg Mountains and forms a watershed between the south-flowing Tarka and Black Kei Rivers, and the Stormbergspruit which is a tributary of the Orange River. Some of its peaks are over 6000 ft - Aasvoëlberg, 35 km east of Sterkstroom, rises to 7245 ft.

The rocks are composed of sediments of the Stormberg Series of the Karoo System.
