Rakovnik pri Šentrupertu is a village in the Municipality of Šentrupert in southeastern Slovenia. It lies south of Šentrupert and to the east of Mirna in the historical region of Lower Carniola. The railway line from Trebnje to Sevnica runs across the settlement's territory. The Municipality of Šentrupert is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]

Name

The name of the settlement was changed from Rakovnik to Rakovnik pri Šentrupertu in 1953.[3]
