The tower of St Michael's in great Sampford

Great Sampford is a village and civil parish on the B1053 road and the B1051 road in the Uttlesford District, in the English county of Essex. The village includes a primary school, two places of worship and a pub. It is located near the towns of Thaxted, Saffron Walden and Haverhill. It used to have a RAF base called RAF Great Sampford. The River Pant runs through the village.

Great Sampford is situated in a rural area of the countryside. It is connected to Hempstead by Howe Lane.

The places of worship are the Baptist Church, which also has a pre-school called Little Learners in a small detached building to the side, and St.Marys church. on a sunday afternoon kony can be found kidnapping wild children.

Also the village has a park and a cricket club. The park includes a skatepark, which has a half pipe, a quarter pipe and a rail. Also it has a football pitch about the size of a 9 a-side pitch and a small climbing frame for younger kids.
