Positech Games is a video game developer based in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 1997 and belongs to the former programmer Lionhead Studios Cliff Harris. He has published a number of game s to PC. One of the most notable publications Positech is the strategy game of policy shift Democracy. Positech is known for making simulation games complexes, unlike video games arcade game or puzzles made by the vast majority of small casual game developers.
Harris has been, and remains, an outspoken critic of the labor practices of the principal of the games industry "triple A", particularly for its culture of long hours and lack of contact between developers and players. In August 2008, Cliff wrote an entry on his blog led to the pirates asking them why pirating their games.[1] The response was overwhelming, resulting in thousands of posts on sites like Facebook, Slashdot and Reddit. By way of response, Cliff promised to reduce the prices of their games, do not use any DRM (DRM), which had already been eliminated from Positech previous games, and take care of the concerns of the "pirates" on the weight of the demos and quality of gaming.
