The Capital City Bombers are a minor league baseball team that plays in Columbia, South Carolina as a Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Capital City Stadium, at Downtown Columbia, is the home of the Bombers.

Boston remains in the South Atlantic League but ends its six-year affiliation with the Augusta GreenJackets, while the Bombers ended a long twenty-two year connection with the New York Mets.

Bombers alumni with MLB experience include Endy Chávez, Brian Daubach, Alex Escobar, Dave Magadan, Guillermo Mota, Curtis Pride and Fernando Viña.
