The second Birmingham Wheel

The Wheel of Birmingham, generally known as the Birmingham Wheel is a 60 m ferris wheel in Centenary Square, Birmingham, England.

It is the second large observation wheel to stand in Centenary square. The first (Roue de Paris) came from a three year position in Paris in November 2003 for a three month visit however the commentary was in French and did not relate to Birmingham. The current wheel has commentary by BRMB DJ, Elliott Webb. It is owned by World Tourist Attractions Ltd.

Its sister wheel in Manchester closed in June 2006 and will be moved to a new site. Its sister, the Yorkshire Wheel, opened in April 2006.
