Shred-it is a document destruction company, founded by the late Greg Brophy in 1987[1] and incorporated in 1989. With headquarters in Oakville, Ontario, and a head office in Cincinnati, Ohio,[2] the company operates in more than 140 markets in 17 different countries.[3] In 2014, Shred-it merged with Cintas Document Shredding, which now operates under the Shred-it name.[4]

Local Shred-it branches operate free Community Shred-it events.[5][6]
