Alan Dapre

Alan Dapre (born 1965) is a UK-based children's television writer who has written episodes of Brum, BAFTA & RTS award nominated Boohbah and Blips which have been broadcast worldwide. Currently he is writing Tronji due for broadcast in 2007. An author of over 60 books for children, Alan Dapre has also written plays for BBC Radio 4 (Kenny and Stranger in the Home), had a stage play on at both Nottingham and Derby Playhouse, and illustrated a series of comic non-fiction books for 7 to 9 year olds called, "everything you need to know when your 7,8 and 9. Formerly a Deputy Headteacher in Nottingham, Alan Dapre currently lives in Witney, Oxfordshire, England. Alan Dapre was a teacher for many years at Haddon Primary School in Gedling, Nottingham.
