Café Bräunerhof is a classic Viennese café and restaurant at Stallburggasse 2 in the First District, near the Habsburg city palace. The café is most known for being the famous author Thomas Bernhard's preferred café. Today there is a vitrine showing a picture of the author and pointing the direction to the café on a street corner nearby. The café allegedly spends 1600 dollars monthly on newspapers [1].
