The Café Bräunerhof is a traditional Viennese coffee house and restaurant at Stallburggasse 2 in Vienna's 1st district, Inner City .

The restaurant was opened by Friedrich Bolberitz around 1920/1921 as Café Sans Souci . It was a meeting place for local antique dealers and also functioned as a dance café. Bolberitz had to leave Vienna in 1938, his successor changed the name after the house to “Bräunerhof” (this is named after Bräunerstraße ). Under the owner Siegfried Hosnik, the café was again visited by artists and writers.

The Bräunerhof is known, among other things, for being the favorite coffee house of the author Thomas Bernhard . A showcase reminds of his place in the café. Every Sunday there is live music with a small ensemble playing waltzes and classical music .
