Fernando Viña (IPA: ['vin.jə]) (born April 16, 1969 in Sacramento, California) is a Major League Baseball second baseman who most recently played for the Detroit Tigers, until patella tendonitis ended his career during the 2004 season.

He attended Arizona State University, and was drafted 246th, in the 9th round of the 1990 entry draft. He played his first professional game on April 10 1993.

He has a career .282 avg. with 40 home runs, 343 RBI's in 1,148 career games with the Seattle Mariners (1993), New York Mets (1994), Milwaukee Brewers (1995-1999), St Louis Cardinals (2000-2003) and the Detroit Tigers (2004- ).

An All-Star in 1998, Viña won the Gold Glove Award in 2001 and 2002.
