State Road 267, although numbered as a north–south route, runs primarily west to east in the eastern Florida panhandle, and can somewhat be considered as a bypass of Tallahassee.
The route begins at US 98 in Newport, heading northwest through the Apalachicola National Forest, crossing State Road 363 and US 319. It briefly joins with SR 20 across the Ochlockonee River before splitting off east and then northward to I-10, US 90 in Qunicy. It continues north to the Georgia border, where it continues as Georgia State Route 302.
