Habrocerinae is a subfamily of rove beetle.

Anatomy

The antennomeres of Habrocerinae are extremely slender. [1] The body of Habrocerinae are in general compact and sublimuloid, and the tarsi, like many rove beetles, is 5-5-5. [1]

Ecology

  • Habitat: in forest litter, wood debris, and fungi.
  • Collection Method: sifting/Berlese forest litter.
  • Biology: poorly known.

Systematics

Two genera total. One genus, Habrocerus with three species in North America.
