Mijdrecht is a town in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, in the Netherlands. It's population is arround 17.000. The famous football team Argon has its stadium here. Lately the city has grown, by expanding it with 'Wickelhof I and II'. In Mijdrecht is a national festival called AJOC. There is one high/secondary school called Veenlanden College, Mijdrecht, or just VLC. This school contains round 1300 students in Mavo, Havo and Vwo levels. Until 1989, Mijdrecht was a separate municipality.[1]
