Mikey Way

Michael Joseph Way (born September 10, 1980), better known as Mikey, is the bass guitarist for the band My Chemical Romance and the brother of frontman Gerard Way. Mikey was born in Newark, New Jersey, but grew up in Belleville, New Jersey. He came up with his band's name when he reshelved the book Ecstacy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance, by Irvine Welsh, while working at a Barnes and Noble. Mikey also worked at Barnes and Noble with his brother, Gerard, and currently Mikey is engaged to BGH; whom you can catch touring with the band on their first ever headlining tour, fall of 2005!
