Mumage (ムウマージ, Mūmāji, Mumage in original Japanese language versions) is one of the Template:Pokenum fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Mumage in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

Its Japanese name is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for nightmare (夢魔, muma) and the English word mage.

Biological characteristics

Mumage looks like a witch in general. It has a large witch hat, a crook or lump in the neck, three red gems, and a whispy body resembling a ghost or a robe.

In the video games

Mumage is one of many new Pokémon to have made its first appearance in the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS, and is exclusive to Pearl.

Misdreavus evolves into Mumage with the use of a Dark Stone. Mumage's type is same as Misdreavus, Ghost, which gives it an advantage against Fighting and Normal type attacks. In addition, it is vulnerable to Dark and Ghost attacks.

Like Misdreavus, Mumage is good in terms of Special Attack, Special Defense and also Speed. These three stats of Mumage have base values of 105.
