The Romsey School is a mixed specialist school in Romsey, Hampshire, England, focussing on maths and computing. There are 1100 children aged 11-16 and 100 teachers. The head teacher is Peter Warburton. The campus is located in Priestlands just off the Greatbridge Road near Romsey Abbey. The River Test runs alongside.

History

The school moved to its present site in the late 1950s. It was a secondary modern until the 1970s when it went comprehensive.

In 2000, it became a language specialist school jointly with The Mountbatten School. In 2005 the specialisation changed to maths and computing -- one of the first British schools to make such a switch.

Achievement

The professional magazine Children Now gave the school its inaugural Community School of the Year award in 2006.
