This is a list of fictional characters from the Cartoon Network animated television series Ed, Edd n Eddy.

The Eds

Ed

Ed

The character Ed is the workhorse of the group. He is known to laugh a lot, and he's happy most of the time. His mind is a subculture grab bag full of comics and monster movies, which he often confuses with reality. Ed is utterly at the mercy of his tyrannical younger sister Sarah, and is an easy target for her emotional blackmail. Much to the dismay of germophobe Edd, he has poor personal hygiene, even to the point of being terrified of soap. He loves buttered toast, gravy, and animals, especially chickens. He also shows symptoms of dyslexia. He has also been shown to have a quite a lot of physical strength, a dramatic example of which was seen in an episode where he is angered by a pebble in his shoe. He is also used in many ways by the Ed´s as a decoy or distraction in their scams while Ed never complains about it.

Edd

Edd

The character Edd or "Double-D" is a young inventor and neat freak. The most intelligent of the trio, he is never seen without his trademark sock-like black ski hat, hiding some kind of secret unknown to all the kids except Ed and Eddy. To differentiate his homophonic name from that of Ed, everyone calls him Double-D. His parents put a heavy workload on their only child, communicating a plethora of tasks solely through a multitude of sticky notes. Edd is considered a nerd by everyone, and is normally a straight-A student in all of his classes. He hates sports because of a mysterious event known as the dodgeball incident. Edd is an excellent pedal steel guitar player, although he insists that he loathes the instrument.

Eddy

Eddy

A greedy con artist, Eddy is the self-appointed leader of the Eds. He goes to great lengths to scam the other kids out of a quarter, even at the expense of his friends' credibility. His efforts are all in the pursuit of jawbreakers, which he loves almost as much as he does money. Eddy hates school and his report card labels him as a megalomaniac. Eddy loves his retro styled room, complete with a lava lamp, a large round king-sized bed, a disco ball, and a record player.

Jimmy

Jimmy is portrayed as the stereotypical crybaby little brother or playmate. He is a childish aspiring artist who wishes to become famous, and is most often seen spending his time with Sarah. Jimmy is quite accident-prone, usually sporting many bandages, and is the weakest kid in the cul-de-sac. Though Jimmy has a cowardly and delicate personality, he truly wishes to be strong and muscular. He can be quite crafty when motivated, and twice has made scams that were very successful, even getting back at the Eds in one utterly cunning scheme. Jimmy has shown how deeply attached he is to Sarah when someone tries to take her away from him. He also wears a retainer to reset his teeth, due to Eddy's pastry/bowling pin scam.

Jonny

Jonny's role is the stereotypical weird kid in the neighborhood who is a loner, and has an imaginary friend. A typical nuisance, Jonny has a large head, talks a lot, and frequently gets on the other kids' nerves. He doesn't seem to mind the antics of the Eds and sometimes seems to enjoy them. Jonny is innocent and gullible, and forgives people no matter what they do. He is rarely seen without his best friend, a board with drawn-on eyes and a mouth with crayon, named Plank. He´is sometimes seen as being responible for putting an end to the Ed-scams.

Kevin

Kevin's role is the jock. He hates the Eds, especially Eddy, and calls them "dorks" quite often. Kevin is a bully, and has been shown to be extremely cruel at various times. Kevin had a garage full of jawbreakers, as his father works at a jawbreaker factory, and loves customizing his bike, skateboards, and snowboards. When not riding his trusty bike, he usually hangs out with Rolf and Nazz in the lane. He is a gym assistant and hall monitor at Peach Creek Junior High and enjoys playing football. According to his Cartoon Network bio, Kevin watches 60 Minutes.

Nazz

Nazz plays the role of the stereotypical cheerleader/unattainable love interest. Trendy and attractive, Nazz mostly hangs out with Kevin. She doesn't mind the Eds unless they annoy her. All of the boys except Rolf and Jimmy have a crush on her. Whenever she approaches, the Eds begin to sweat, and lose the ability to speak coherently. She is the head cheerleader at Peach Creek Junior High. Although Nazz is usually depicted as sweet and smart, she can occasionally be a bit ditsy and acts as the stereotypical dumb blonde.

Rolf

Rolf's role is that of the immigrant with strange speech and customs. He comes from a curious Australian culture with odd customs, and has a thick accent to match. It is purposely never stated which country he's from, so his personality is not commited to a certain culture.[1] He works his parents' small farm within the cul-de-sac, and also leads a scouting group called the "Urban Rangers," which includes Jimmy and Jonny. Rolf usually refers to himself in third person, as well as being the son of a shepherd, in which he takes pride. His faithful farm animals are two pigs (one named Wilfred), a goat named Victor, at least four chickens (two named Bridget and Gertrude), and a cow. When not working, he hangs out with Kevin, playing various sports. He hardly minds the Eds unless they make a fool out of him, after which he is not afraid to use brute force. He always mentions people in his family and stories or folk tales from the "old country."

Sarah

Sarah plays the stereotypical bossy spoiled little sister, who acts cute and charming only when it serves her. Sarah has Ed's unending loyalty and obedience, mostly from threats of her snitching on him. She has a short temper and gets easily agitated with others, especially her brother Ed. She often hurts anyone who angers her or hurts Jimmy, though it has been seen that she fears Ed to a certain degree. She is almost always playing with Jimmy, and when she's not, rushes to his aid the moment Jimmy calls her.

Kanker Sisters

If there's one thing the Eds and the cul-de-sac kids can agree on, it is that they all hate the Kankers. May, Marie, and Lee are three sisters that live in the nearby trailer park called Park 'n' Flush. They are the cul-de-sac's number one enemy and they are feared by all the other kids for their brash, uninhibited demeanor and unpredictable behavior. While all the Kankers like the Eds, it has been shown that May has a preference for Ed, Marie for Edd (Double D), and Lee for Eddy.

Unseen character

Eddy's brother

Eddy's brother has never appeared on-screen and his name wasn't revealed either, having left the cul-de-sac some time before the start of the series. Yet, enough is revealed of his personality that he can be considered a character, though never seen. Eddy claims his brother was "the coolest kid in the cul-de-sac". Kevin is scared of Eddy's brother, and Rolf thinks Eddy's brother wants to steal his chickens. Jonny looks up to Eddy's brother, and Nazz has a crush on him. Jimmy wants to meet him because he has big muscles. Sarah couldn't care less about him. His appearance has only been given through vague impressions, such as the photo of Eddy and his brother's silhouettes on the staircase. Eddy makes passing references to him when one of his ideas are inspired by him, often claiming that his brother was a "whiz" at whatever he happens to be doing.
