So Tommy Q. takes Jude -- and her increasingly resentful older sister Sadie -- to a wild hip-hop party being thrown by the magazine’s publisher -- someone with whom Tommy has a very complicated history. Jude tries to “play the game” and one-up Eden with disastrous results. Ultimately it’s Jude’s genuine connection with someone unexpected that saves the day…
3	"Oh Well, Whatever, Nevermind"	July 8, 2005	103
Jude is suddenly given a first-class ticket to popularity central when her publicist arranges for her to perform her first single in front of the entire school. Jude allows herself to get swept up in all the attention until she is hit with two unexpected and painful truths: Some of the students are planning anti-Jude walkout during the televised concert, and, more importantly, her best friend Jamie hates her new song.

The record company freaks out when Jude plays her new song for the radio powers-that-be and gets some very negative reactions. Tommy's so disappointed in himself that he even threatens to quit. Desperate to keep her number one producer (and crush) in the picture, Jude hatches the perfect plan –- insisting that she and Tommy just need to "get away" with nothing but a guitar and four-track to perfect Jude's sound. Things get complicated when the isolated mentor and his student find themselves connecting over more than just the music… and things get downright messy when Jude's hot sister Sadie shows up.

Meanwhile, her personal and professional relationship with Tommy is rapidly disintegrating. Just when Jude's sure she's reached the boiling point a new, devastating betrayal is revealed. Her father is having an affair with another woman.

Meanwhile, Tommy is busy trying to appease Darius and has no time for Sadie when she returns from Europe.

Jude is forced to face the repercussions of going against Darius, who threatens to release her from G Major Records if she doesn't “play ball” and perform the cover song he has selected for her. Meanwhile, Jamie receives disappointing news about his future as Spiederman's band manager; and Sadie's still smarting from her brush-off by Tommy.

An interview with a radio shock jock leaves Jude feeling humiliated and down on herself, until she strikes up a friendship with someone who inspires her to fight back.

Jude's efforts to make a second album get stalled by Darius and Liam, who demand she cough up some major money for studio time. Jude comes up with a way to make some fast cash, but unfortunately her idea creates more friction between her parents.

Kat sets out to hurt Jude because she is jealous of Jude's successes; Tommy suffers a crisis of confidence, feeling that he can't measure up to Liam, his more experienced coworker.

Spiederman wants Jude to consider the possibility of transforming their sizzling onstage chemistry into an offstage romance, but Jude has doubts.

Sadie's relationship with Tommy is on the rocks because of his lies. Jude initially tries to patch things up between the two but then has second thoughts

Jude is thrilled to be nominated for a music award, but what she finds less exciting is the prospect of attending the ceremonies with Spiederman, who hasn't been the ideal boyfriend lately. So it's understandable when Jude agrees to let Mason escort her to the event.
