Melita Jurisic is an Australian actress.
Early life
Jurisic was born in Croatia and migrated to Australia with her family at age five.[1] She began her career as part of the Lighthouse company in Adelaide.[2]
Career
Jurisic's screen roles include a lead in the ABC TV series Something in the Air,[3] playing the title character in the 1987 film The Tale of Ruby Rose,[4] the 1986 TV movie Hunger,[5] Croatian film Transatlantik in 1998,[6] 1997's The Sound of One Hand Clapping,[7] Mad Max: Fury Road[2] Bordertown and The Petrov Affair.[1]
Her stage roles are numerous, and include Macbeth with the Sydney Theatre Company in 2014,[8] I Am A Miracle at the Malthouse in 2015[2] and Three Sisters at the Sydney Opera House in 2001.[9] Internationally she appeared in Barrie Kosky's production of Medea in Vienna.[1]
